The design of the motorcycle has been redesigned. It features a more aggressively sculpted look with sharper contours. The SP 125 has an LED tail lamp and headlamp to match its sporty appearance. The fully digital instrument console includes an Eco indicator, a real-time fuel efficiency indicator, and a service reminder. The engine kill switch is also available, which is a first for this segment.

The motorcycle’s engine is a 125cc unit which is now BS6-compliant and has electronic fuel injection. The engine produces 10.5 bhp maximum power and 10.3 Nm peak torque. A five-speed gearbox continues to handle transmission duties. Honda has fitted the SP 125 with an ACG starter to make the engine cranking smoother.

The SP 125 has the same set of parts as the CB Shine SP in terms of the cycle parts. The SP 125 has telescopic forks at the front and twin spring-loaded shock absorbers at its rear. The base model has drum brakes, and the higher version has a disc-drum system. CBS is standard on both versions. The bike has 18-inch wheels and 80/100 section tires at both ends.

The SP 125 is available in four colours from Honda: Striking Green Metallic, Pearl Siren Blue Metallic, Imperial Red Metallic and Matte Axis Grey Metal.
