Many things can go wrong when you ride your bike on weekends. There are many reasons for this, but you can fix some things and not others. This article will discuss what you can do to fix your motorcycle if something unexpected happens.

Puncture

Flat tires are the most common thing that can happen to anyone. We pray this doesn’t happen, but we must be ready to repair it in the right way, even if it does. A true saying: Prevention is better than treatment. The best way to solve a problem is to be ready for it. Always keep a puncture kit on you. Repairing a puncture on a motorcycle that rides on tubeless tires is easy. You can follow the instructions and fix the puncture easily. However, you should make sure to check your air pressure at the next station.

If your motorcycle has tube tyres and is punctured, and you don’t have the tools or a pressure pump, you can only push the bike to the nearest puncture shop. Before pushing the motorcycle to the shop, make sure that the valve nut is loosened. You could damage the tube and replace it if you don’t do this.

Battery dead

If the self-start button fails to turn the engine on, other ways are to get it started. Jump starting your motorcycle can be done with a jump cable. This is done by connecting the positive battery of your friend to your own and the negative to your friend’s. The dead battery will start the motorcycle by drawing power from the living one. Keep the engine running until the battery is fully charged.

You might have had bad luck and don’t have a jump cable. Don’t worry; there are other ways to get your bike running. The second gear can be shifted, and the clutch held. Once the motorcycle is at a good speed, you can push it to the limit and shift into the second gear. Once you have achieved this, you will feel the motorcycle start to jerk. Once this is done, release the clutch and turn the throttle. This will allow fuel to flow into the engine.

Clutch cable snaps

Although it is not often, this can happen. It’s great if your clutch cable breaks and you have a spare. You can still ride the bike with one gear if you don’t know what to do. The clutch is not required to shift gears. Slowly and gently accelerate the motorcycle. Then, use the gear lever to shift the gears. The gear lever will allow you to feel the spot where the gear shifts smoothly. You could cause serious damage to your gearbox if you don’t do it correctly. It would be best to take it to the nearest garage to be fixed.

Brake fade

It could also be called brake failure or improper functioning of brakes. If you are riding or driving down a ghat section and don’t get the same response from your brakes, your brakes have likely failed. This problem is caused by the heavy use of the brakes while riding or driving. It will respond very slowly if the disc and brake pads are heated. The best thing is to pull over and allow the brakes to cool down. Allow the brakes to cool off before you start your journey. You can cause serious damage to your brakes if you don’t allow the brakes to cool down.
